Allergy Season, Home Air Filters, Heart Disease, Are they all connected?

Air Pollution and allergens may contribute to the risk of heart disease by promoting inflammation in lung tissue and blood vessel cells.
This can include particles from wood smoke, car exhaust, mold, pollen, dust and more.
For people who experience multiple allergies, filtering air to remove excess pollens, dust and mold spores aids in allergy prevention.
High-efficiency particulate air, or HEPA filters, in ventilation systems can remove more than 60-80 percent of airborne allergens and lower markers of inflammation in the blood by 33% and improve functioning of vessel cells.
Homeowners should change the filters regularly for maximum effect. Be sure to use high-efficiency particle air (HEPA) filters. Don't let allergy season get you down. Leigh
